Knowing the extra room in her hat, Jess decided to store her laptop in it. She then noticed that she could stick her hands in the holes and type on it. She’s expecting an award for this invention.
You have to wonder what makes someone give this a thumbs down. Maybe a sweater enthusiast was appalled by the idea of using a sweater for anything other than warming extremities.
nr2038 :not an idea that came from a fear of someone staling personal information, she was just cold and knew that a computer + sweater equals quick warmth
You mean she’s funnelling all that laptop heat up to her head via a cleaverly knitted sweater chimney?
One wonders what she’ll utilise to keep her elbows from becoming all goose-pimply….
hahaha it’s a thneed…
“A thneed is a Fine-Somthing-That-All-People-Need!
It’s a shirt. It’s a sock. It’s a glove. It’s a hat.
But it has other uses. Yes, far beyond that.
You can use it for carpets. For pillows! For sheets!
Or curtains! Or covers for bicycle sheets!”

This could come handy in Iowa winters (or wherever else it gets cold enough to freeze-treat Satan’s balls off). Not nearly as cool as smittens, though.

This is not photoshopped, lol!
This was actually an Instructable on Instructables.com. Cool site. The girl who posted this showed all the steps she use for making/knitting this contraption. And yeah, she got some people complaining that it was, indeed, bad for security. Also, that it might overheat the computer.
Go check out Instructables.com if you want to see the whole thing!
seems like a good idea, but honestly, i run out of air in like 10 seconds after i put my head under the covers. i think this would have a similar effect. it would be good if your face was cold, though.
@Ohhainaobai
Forget the eyes… what about the fumes from the chip(s) at operating temps… more harmful than lcd displays… if it were a CRT, then you’re in the ballpark…
oh this is really amazing, my macbook has a glossy screen and i find that it’s impossible to work if it’s too sunny because it’s too reflective! i usually hide under a sheet! they should sell these on the apple website!
Oh my god. Where can I get one!

Human-Eating Sweaters have a taste for Asian ladies, as evidenced here.

-.-
personalised cone of silence, as knitted by nanna.
Keeping the tention just right so you could see the screen must be a b*tch on the old neck muscles

comment WIN!
I was going to enter a snarky comment about this being a rejected prototype for the Snuggie but real life, apparently, beat me to it.
can someone please give that lady a Nobel peace prize for that Invention, now I can watch Porn in Privacy
finally someone gave Ghostbusters some recognition
I want one.
She’s probably watching porn.

Maybe she didn’t know about those films you can put over your computer screen so that people can’t see what’s on the screen from different angles.
hahahaha porn sock
However, I do want one. I’m not saying that I watch porn, though.
This was an April Fools product a few years ago if I remember correctly.

Okay that was painfully funny!
+1 for computer privacy.
-3 for personal security.
“Uh, no officer, I didn’t get a look at the guy that mugged me … I had a giant sock on my head!”
Obviously photoshopped.

@Dr Cherry
Obviously photoshopped from what? “Oh, someone’s clearly combined a knitted chimney with a picture of a girl on a laptop…”
You photoshop-screamers ruin everything.
Looks like the laptop shirted her, like in a hockey game.
@Final Judge of WTF
Painfully not necessary.
South Park’s Kenny bites back.
