Because when you see a Burning Man photo you don’t say “WTF?”, you say, “Oh. Burning Man”.
If we wanted to see Burning Man photos we could type “Burning Man” in Google Images and get thousands. We don’t need anymore here.

it matters because people plan their art way in advance and how they are going to express it. So, it’s actually disrespectful to be puting it on here as WTF. The twisted concepts that burners come up with should be admired and celebrated. My interpretation of this website was that it is reserved for more candid photos that make you say wtf.
