spot on, yeah. one might notice said beaches and what not. quite possibly there is an immense battle of epic proportions taking place and tourists and patrons are not excluded from the conflict, in fact they are often used for cover from opposing factions.

I actually saw something like this the other week, there’s a big airshow near where I live where they essentially get the RAF and the Navy fly their planes and helicopters and the Royal Marines were doing a demonstration of how to recover a prisoner, so not all that odd in the end.

I’m pretty sure I know where this is from. Back a few years ago, the British accidentally invaded Spain. The Royal Marines were going to do an exercise beach landing in Gibraltar, but accidentally sailed off course and landed in Spain. They were very confused when another unit, playing the role of the enemy, failed to show up. So they held their positions until the town police showed up and told them they invaded the wrong place, at which point they left.
