Fluffy had a fool proof plan. She would dress up as a skeleton to trick the old lady. The lady would think she was to skinny and give her more cat food….
This is from Why Paint Cats. It’s a joke art book; totally photoshopped. It’s really funny and DEFINITELY not spray paint like the tag says. No cats were hurt.
Fail cuz this is just a photoshop stolen from “Why Paint Cats”. It IS photoshop because I have the book and have seen the original image. Not that hard to do.
judging by the obviously cloned background, I’d say whoever did this wouldn’t have the skill to photoshop the cat to look that realistic. I’d guess that the cat was actually dyed, but the background was shopped with very little skill.
S. :However they did it, it is very striking.
When you go to the movies, do you people stand up and point and say, “That’s CGI! That’s not real!”
Of course it’s not fracking ‘real’.
You remind me of a friend of mine in Dunedin. The use of the word ‘fracking’ hit a nostalgic note.
It’s from the book Why Paint Cats, by the New Zealand authors of the earlier book Why Cats Paint. Artist Heather Busch is responsible for the artwork, is an animal lover who used photoshop. Heather Busch is an extremely accomplished artist in more traditional forms also. I know this because I know both of these people.
It is from the series. That doesn’t mean cats were painted. Their first book was an admitted joke (and it’s cool) you can read about all of it here: http://www.snopes.com/photos/arts/paintedcats.asp

Hey, cool. They are very accomplished. And business savvy. Cheers.
Fluffy… and boney! (Actually, it’s from an art series of painted cats.)
Should have saved this one for Halloween. That’s spooky!
Except the whole series if photoshopped. Duh.
Kitty!

I don’t even care if its Photoshop’ed. Thats sick no matter how it got there!
The skeleton cat is pretty cool, even if it may be shooped. Am I the only one who thinks the background is one of those “Magic Eye” posters?
OO, its not shopped. They painted the cats with some sort of powder its edible so a few minutes later the cat would lick it off.
Skeletor did have a cat – and it was teh sleek.
I love this pic.
Sculpture in the Vigeland sculpture park in Oslo, Norway.

Ha! I looked up that book and it looks hilarious! The authors are the Anne Geddes of cats.
Very cool… yet frightening. You should breed them.

By both I mean Burton Silver who did the text.

adorable
This skele-cat remind anyone else of Hidan from the Akatsuki in Naruto Shippuden? All that cat needs is a grim-reaper scythe and Akatsuki robes. XD
Nice paint work on the cat, whether real or Photoshopped. However, why wreck it with the worst-possible background cloning job?
Look like Cheshire cat of Alice in wonderland game
It’s a dead man’s par… uhh … kitten.
that’s kinda cool
All I could think about was, ‘How can I get my cat to sit still that long…’
D’awwwwww ^_^
