That is from the book “Monsters” by artist/photographer Charlie White.
Gloworm is right. “Joshua” is a humanoid puppet that was made by artist Charlie White in a series called “Understanding Joshua.” Really interesting stuff. The puppet itself is lifelike enough to make the photos rather unsettling.
