Hair dye dates back at least to ancient Egypt. I’m sure they could change hair color back in the 1940′s.

In this photo you have two brunettes and a blond. During their performing days, the Ross Sisters were three brunettes. It’s not unreasonable to think that their manager told the blond to die her hair to match her sisters in front of an audience.

Still, I don’t know for sure that this is the Ross Sisters, but the photo looks like it’s from the 30′s, the age of the girls would match, and it’s three contortionist girls who don’t look radically unlike the Ross Sisters. How many contortionist trios can there be?
