Actually the shadows are the only thing keeping me from thinking this is shopped, because it sure as hell does not look like the gum is attached to the building on camera left (to me at least). Is it meant to be free-standing?

I don’t know Photoshop, but i don’t think it’s impossible to draw shadows. Or maybe something is standing there “behind” the bubblegum that throws the shadow. But why do i give a damn…
Indeed, shadows that simple and diffused would be incredibly easy to do for anyone with even basic training in drawing.
Looks more like forced perspective than photoshop to me.
My mind keeps fluttering between a giant piece of used chewing gum or some wierd modern installation art of abstracted vag parts……well, I guess it COULD be the same thing, right?

It’s Simone Decker, as r721 pointed out. I think it is forced perspective, although I’m not sure how. She’s done similar stuff with aquariums and cellophane too.
clearly cant you guys see its a mini town like a stage one and they put just a normal piece on gum on both side of the model and. they tilted the camera angle up to make it seem like the buildings are bigger than they really are.
ya its the suport power demonstration of poor photoshop skills. its obvious by looking where the gum meets the building.
