Is this real? Which city is this?

I wonder what parents say, when passing children ask “what’s that golden man doing” :)

  2. DooDaDoo says:

Mommy, can I do that when I’ll grow up and I’ll be a golden man too?

  3. el loco says:

This is photoshop, building is The National Theatre in Prague and there is no such thing at this bulding.

  4. MiGrant says:

The building is the National Theatre in Prague, the Czech Republic. The big gold, uh, statue wasn’t there last time I was there about 18 months ago….

    • Anna Rexia says:

Whew. That quells my wonder of the effects of spraying water on those power lines. If it were real, I’d hate to be the one to have to clean the statue.

  5. Golonko says:

Umm… What’s that golden man doing?
Because i’m sure it’s something else than i think!

  6. flip says:

    Those darn prog euros!

  7. Guizmo says:

Are you sure it’s in Norway ?
    Looks like Budapest to me…

  8. Kam says:

There are a lot of statues in Europe that have this kind of ‘spout’.

  9. ghiyaas says:

    Uh scary

  10. Scuzz says:

While fans know of the green Hulk, the red Hulk, and even the grey Hulk, few have ever seen the adventures of the yellow Hulk. Y’see, it’s not getting angry that makes him transform…

  11. Sarkasm says:

    Duck! Incoming cum shot!

  12. Cypher says:

“Mommy, is the golden man peeing?”

“Dear, we need to have a talk soon.”

  13. skizzbucket says:

Remember the cinematic euphemisms for sex, like the rocket blasting off and the train going in the tunnel? Apparently, some people ACTUALLY get off on those. Who knew?

  14. EmperorQuinto says:

I think this a photoshop job. I found real pictures of the national theatre in Prague and there is no golden man, let alone one that is shooting his load…

  15. nitch says:

This is TOTALLY shopped. As has already been said by other people who regularly visit Prague, I have never ever seen or heard of this statue. It’s so funny I think I would remember it or have been told about it by now. That, and, you can totally see the lighting and shadows are wrong around it (although I hate sounding like one of those ‘the pixels are wrong’ people). I love this building though. Gave me a warm fuzzy feeling to see it now even though tis most certainly shopped.

  16. fra says:

That’s David Černý (the author of Entropa) statue proposal for National Theater in Prague. It’s called “Národ sobě navždy” what means “The nation to itself forever”. That is paraphrasing the sing what is in the building from the time when it has been built.

  17. beebee says:

Yeah…that’s in Prague, and I visited the National Theatre in April….shopped.

  18. that guy over here says:

because even statues need a break

  19. Handsome Stranger says:

So that’s what Dad meant when he told me, “Son, there’s a time and a place for that kind of thing, but the front of Prague’s National Theater in broad daylight ain’t it.”

  20. Jabberwocky says:

I live in Prague and I work near the National Theatre, passing the building regularly. There has never been such a statue. It’s photoshopped.

  21. Dr.Sid says:

There are some rather porn statues in Prague, but this is simply fake. But nice job, sure.

  22. Juarez says:

Yep, it is a project created by David Cerny, quite popular and very controversial Czech artist (check his website, it is there). It is photoshopped by the artist himself, he was not allowed to place the statue on the National Theatre :)

  23. Sarah says:

    The Midas touch.

  24. Shep333 says:

I blame whoever painted those two naked girls making out on the sidewalk beneath him. I mean honestly.

  25. q says:

Ya dats Praha, I’m there quite regularly, never seen the HUGE gold statue on it however…

  26. Cat says:

It might not be shopped (not saying it isn’t, just maybe). Sometimes they do installation pieces that don’t stay there very long and Prague has a lot of very controversial artists.

  27. Gatta says:

That statue is project of David Cerny. The same guy who created Entropa … http://www.davidcerny.cz/start.html (look at 2nd link called Projekty)
