  4. Primitive-Roots says:

nothing beautifuler then a Belgian blue bull :p

    • Anna Rexia says:

I wonder if they have considered using that breed for rodeo bulls. But then, if they’re gentle enough to be scratched under the chin (if the picture is real) then they wouldn’t make good bucking bulls.

      • Primitive-Roots says:

even if they weren’t gentle i don’t think it could jump like normal rodeo bull’s to me it looks like the muscles would be restricting it

      • Eccho says:

Belgian Blues are not gentle. This one may be (probably mildly sedated for the showing/picture), but as they are a beef breed, they are known for being aggressive. Especially the breeding cows, they are very protective of their offspring and will charge and gore you if they think you are interfering (IE giving them vaccinations, branding, etc). Domesticated indeed!

But win for double muscling! More filet mignons for Americans!

  9. ThaAntVillain says:

i think the bull’s condition is called double muscleing which is caused by a mutation which represses the myostatin protein

  10. Mask says:

WHAT THE HELL?! the more i look at this picture the less it makes sense. :S

    • wwitch says:

I saw this picture years ago. It’s a prize-winning bull owned by the French woman in the picture. She is adjusting his posture for the judges.

To repost, the breed is a Belgian Blue and it (the whole breed) has double muscling. Muscle is muscle, not fat.
