Hahaha! It’s funny because the fox is DEAD and the hunters made it look like the fox they killed has killed the rabbits they killed!

    Bleah.

  2. Sheepy says:

I can tell by the pixels that this has been ‘shopped. ^_~

    • JeweledRose says:

Nope, but the alternatives are a very lucky catch with a camera (I’ve seen it happen XD) or…. well, see above. But it’s not shopped.

  3. matt says:

    fox of duty:modern warfare

  4. me says:

    iagh is that fox dead?

  5. Jimmy says:

He might do even better if he closed the bolt on that rifle. Just sayin’.

  6. skullmead says:

    1 dead fox
2 dead “things” (looks like rabbits)
    1 low quality image

  7. LOGGEDin says:

Just another reason for loving them hunters, right? They do it just for the good of the animals (i.e. shooting only sick or old ones or thinning out the population to assure the others can live happily and healthy), never for fun, right?

    • Jason says:

Who said anything about shooting the sick and old ones to thin out the population? You hunt to eat; why would anyone eat an old, sickly animal?

There has to be a degree of “fun”, as you put it, or there wouldn’t be much motivation to go out and work for your food.

You want to be a vegan? Fine. But don’t get all high and mighty because the rest of us actually want a nutritious and well-rounded meal. I’m sorry, am I jumping to conclusions? Are you a vegan, or are you just one of those people that doesn’t realize where burgers come from?

Some of us also, prefer fresh meat as opposed to the hormone fed meat sacks they keep, and torture, in tiny cages just to be slaughtered for our insatiable hunger for that nasty crap. I’d prefer to limit my intake of meat that was bred for slaughter.

      • LOGGEDin says:

You’ll probably be glad to hear I’m not vegan, and that I pretty well know where burgers come from. In fact, most of the meat I consume comes from our own animals, who live in nice conditions (i.e. with healthy food, much of room in their barn and outside) before we slaughter them with as less hurting and stress as possible. So… can we talk on a par with each other now?

It’s as you said: many hunters go hunting for food (not all, mind you, but about the others (sick fun-searching trigger-happies) I don’t wanna say any more). I know that, but at least here in Germany they always tell they’d only do it for the wellbeing of the animals as I stated before. As you said yourself it’s clearly a lie, as well as saying a little fun for motivation would be needed. Why isn’t the prospect of flesh for food (that some of us obviously need oh-so-badly) enough? Why would you need fun at your “work”, and why should it be necessary to fool around with the prey?

And that is what I hate about this picture above: the manner of displaying the dead bodies of these animals. They were living creatures, and I don’t understand why they can’t be treated with respect, and honoured for the sacrifice they gave by serving us as food. And if you say foxes are “pest animals” I would like to remind you that they have their place in the natural food chain, which would work quite well if man wouldn’t always stick their nose (and gun) into anything.

What I try to say is: There isn’t much difference between my late Grandma, who is just a dead thing now, food for the worms and microorganisms, and the rabbits that hopefully have already been eaten with relish. I wouldn’t have my dead Grandma positioned as either the fox or the rabbits as shown above, though, so I expect it isn’t right to do so to them.

Remember: you can’t spell slaughter without LAUGHTER.

  8. warpwiz says:

Best wishes to the fox. ’bout time wildlife got to turn the tables.

  9. poochinella says:

Dear PETA, Happy Easter! From your friends at the NRA.

  10. thudbucket says:

The Ironic part in all of this is that the fox is posed with the gun that was likely used to kill it in the first place. hahahaha :-| What does fox meat taste like anyway?

    • Hi says:

All predators have rather gross meat. Their fur is what people go after. Most people do not eat fox, coyotes*, or wolves, but a common tactic is to use it for trapping bait. It is not wasted.

      * KY-oat, not ky-OAD-ee. I get a headache whenever it is mispronounced.

      • JeweledRose says:

The pronounciation is a regional thing; like pee-cans or pea-cons. Same as Ne-vah-da and Ne-vaa-da (though I hate the first one, even if it’s more ‘correct’ XD)

  11. steve says:

    TANGO DOWN

  12. Al says:

Firefox just got a new add-on.

  13. James says:

    shhhhh i’m hunting rabbit!

  14. poco says:

    This is gross and depressing.

  15. peg4x4 says:

the fox is dead-I don’t find it cute or funny

  16. Jimmy says:

With some luck, it will shoot one of these fox hunters

  17. Mr Obvious says:

Wahoo, shootin tasty critters! A case of Papst Blue Ribbon and that there is what ya call High falutin.

  18. paddyspoint says:

why kill the fox? can you even eat it?

    • Jami says:

Foxes often are pest animals that kill farmers’ chickens and other livestock. It’s basically like setting out a mousetrap or killing crows.

Nothing appalling or disgusting about it. It’s not like is Casey Anthony had posed Caylee in a picture like this after murdering her.

      • aaadf says:

“Pest animals” are just what you tell yourself to make yourself feel good. I could label you with the same moniker, what then?

        • Jason says:

No, “pest” animals are ones that come in and slaughter a whole pen full of chickens. Which would you prefer? One fox, or many egg-laying chickens?

          • Sgt. Fuchs says:

No, “pest” animals are ones that take, but don’t give back, and usually, the ignorant farmer owning the chickens usually mistakes a weasel, coyote or badger attack for a fox hunt, and the foxes usually only take probably 1 chicken, while coyotes hunt in packs and therefore will obviously take more chickens than a solitary animal. Also, on YOUR comment, you’re basically saying that humans are pest animals, because what happens to the chicken once it gets too old and can’t lay eggs anymore?

    • Justin says:

Foxes are also hunted or caught in traps for the fur. Trappers alot of times will catch them along with raccoons, skin them, and then collect money for their fur.

  19. Mask says:

be wery wery qwiet. were hunting wabbits
no but seriously – hunting is bad.

    • Mr Obvious says:

No but seriously? Ever notice those canine & incisors in your mouth? Those are meat ripping teeth. Those did not develop in the human mouth to mush tree bark.

      • Mr Serious says:

ever notice those canine and incisors in your mouth? and how they are almost completely useless for ripping anything? the teeth in the human mouth have evolved for a more omnivore or vegetarian diet, hence flat leaf tearing teeth in the front, reduced canines, and large flat plant crushing molars in the back, look at any other primate species on the planet and you’ll see the same thing, a largely vegetarian diet, with the exception being that they must eat meat in times of plant and fruit scarcity. hunting is appalling and hunting with a gun is pathetic.

      • Mask says:

when i said “hunting” i meant hunting for sport. it makes me sad. :(

  20. Notahater says:

It’s funny!!! Live life, stop hating.

  21. deanimator says:

    Is this Fox News?

  22. Jimmy says:

    Gray fox ?

  23. Deepak Poolamadai says:

    FIRE – FOX
    lol :)

  24. FrayedKnotJeff says:

This is a lovely picture of death!

    /Sarcasm

  25. Lord Vegan says:

By the way, those “incisors” aren’t very sharp, and those intestines you have were not made for processing meat. All meat-eating animals have very short intestines. When humans eat meat it rots in their intestines and they end up with bowel cancer – very very painful way to go. All animals that were made to be vegetarians have very long intestines.
Either way, that photo is distasteful and a mockery of nature.

  26. Rob says:

Both foxes and rabbits are pest animals. So the person had a little fun with a picture, so what? Some of you need to lighten up a little. Sure its a little dark but nothing appalling about it.

  27. Wahhh says:

It’s a fox, an animal. Yes, it’s dead. Get the fuck over it and stop throwing hissy fits.

  28. Charlie says:

    Fantastic, Mr. Fox.

  29. ... says:

Ok. Everyone who’s sad about the fox. Think about how many animals a fox eats… Is that justifiable?

    • Bppb says:

somehow I think people would survive without killing foxes. I’d be impressed if you found a fox that could survive without eating!

      • Guess Who says:

I have to agree with Bppb. The fox kills and eats because it’s part of the circle of life… that’s what they do. They eat to live.

  30. Lord Vegan says:

One could argue that humans are more pests than any other living creature. We have a choice and we choose to kill to extinction for sport, scorch the earth and be destructive in any way we can. Humans are a virus.

    • kamizilla says:

Wow, I never met a self-righteous virus before. The experience is underwhelming.

      It’s too easy to be a Negative-Nancy.

    • Boz says:

Lord Vegan, you are an absolute mental case. Meat rots in your guts and gives you cancer does it? Did you learn that on your journey to the edge of the earth? Or perhaps a scientologist told you…

  31. benadrit says:

    It’s wabbit season!

  32. paddyspoint says:

since they can’t eat the fox, will they just leave it’s corpse to rot? that’s so sad…

  33. dono1 says:

What disturbs me the most is that the fox is using a scope. I always thought they had keen eyesight.

  34. tomacz says:

wile e coyote finally gets the ^*^(*(&!!(&^ rabbitt
    well,nextime it’ll be roadrunners,heh heh

  35. thepussykiller says:

wow i didn’t realise that was an actual link ROFL

  36. Alfador says:

Everybody keeps talking about defending the hunters or castigating them for killing a fox and some rabbits… hardly anybody is talking about how hilarious the picture is. And that’s sad.

I bet even the fox would laugh at the way some humans posed his body. Because it’s funny. I know if somebody killed me and posed my body in a hilarious way, I’d laugh (assuming there’s an afterlife for me to laugh from).

  37. muumendaalen says:

In Soviet Russia, the foxes DO hunt you!
