Lithuanians lucky to have chair for straight edge. Our instructor use concrete parking divider… and also have to share chalk with History professor down hall.
That just looks like linear programming (a technique developed well before computer programming). It’s taught in operations management courses at the university level here in the states. Basically every business major learns the technique. I know it’s popular to dig at the American education system, but you should at least know what you’re talking about before you do.
Eh, linear programming was developed in the ’40s; computer programming predates that. The kernel of truth here is simply that the when linear programming was named, people did not automatically think of computers when they heard the word “program” or “programming”.
And, yeah, linear programming is taught in various disciplines in America.
That is actually a math-physics Lyceum 1580 in Moscow, Russia. A friend of mine graduated from there, I’ve met the guy in the picture. Damn it’s a small world.
Never mock the math professor who has memorized his logarithmic tables…
Here at The University Of New Mexico Mathematics Department, we pride ourselves on our preparation of our students for the practicalities of The Real World…
… and this summarizes the 2-D graphical representation which proves that Time IS IN FACT a multi-dimensional phenomenon…Q.E.D. (alas, my tenure is assured…Air Force Amy, your sugar-daddie is comin’ to RENT YOU, baybee! Tonight’s your night, bro…)
One chair to rule them all!!
ROFL! In your face LINEAR OPTIMISERS!(aka linear programmers)
He is a chairman…..
“Get him with the chair!! With the chair!!”
I’d love to read this guy’s evaluations. I’ve done crazier stuff to get my class to pay attention though.
It’s Lithuanian university. VGTU.
he also uses it on the students that misbehave. O.O
maybe they don’t have rulers wherever he is so they use anything straight
From that angle, he looks like Leslie Nielsen.
And we’re all counting on him.
Yea, but they (the students) will know 10x more than American students with touch screen whiteboards ;=)
(I am not even Ukrainian, just pointing out)
ha.
LOL yes. I am Ukrainian and thats so true xD
Solve for X.
It’s actually Lithuania
I study there. Always mind your surroundings..

And this you can tell from the back of two heads and a chair? Amazing.
Unless she/he was there when this picture was taken. I can’t see that as the sort of moment that one would forget easily.

And always taught with a chair, never a protractor. Never.
The formulas at the left explain what the chair maker figured out centuries ago.

It is a FREAKING green chalkboard on a light yellow wall, it could be ANY school or university.
So far we’ve got two jackasses, one saying this is in Lithuania and the other that it is in Russia. Three if you count Ukraine.
doubts about uni, looks like something we did at school
Doesn’t look like anyone had a ruler to install those white lights above him either.
I’ve always heard that’s a lithuanian school, but anyway, I think I was learning that a couple of years before entering uni…
Looks more like a kludge than a WTF to me.
So you see class, if you take the cosine of chair, you will get sofa.
^– win.
i gree.
The winner comment!
It’s not in Ukraine but in Lithuania. VGTU (Vilniaus Gedimino technokos universitetas)
I guess it’s a throne.. a chair for rulers.
As someone already wrote,
this is some school or a preperatory course because the stuff on the blackboard looks like 10th grade or something.
know the man. he’s genious. that explains everything
yaeh but your knot

Great Teacher Onizuka
The chair is walking lalalalaa
He must be the department chair.

That’s true
If it’s Lithuanian, why does the title say Ukraine? Just pointing that out.
COOLEST SOLUTION EVERRR
The difference between a professor and a straight line is the ability to ad lib outside of the rules.
