All I know is I would be covering my kids eyes and hustling them away from that monstrosity as fast as I can just to avoid the questions. How the hell do you explain something like that to an eight year old???? Who would ALLOW this on their property???
The thing is, sexism actually exists. So objectifying female body parts isn’t funny, in the same way that objectifying stereotypes of Black people isn’t funny and given the history of oppression, will never be funny. There will never be a day when sterotypes of Black people is just “a cute reminder of a more innocent era” because the era of racism was never fricken cute to the Black people who lived through it. And images like this will always be sexist. It is totally inappropriate.
I do realize whoever posted this was most likely aware of the sexism, and wasn’t posting it merely for the laughs, and yet at the same time I see this kind of dehumanizing crap literally everywhere I turn and guess what? I’ve reached the point where I can’t take anymore, any little bit of it sets me off, simply because men and boys should know better by now. Every time I see something like this I think, “more proof men hate me”.
Needless to say, I don’t assume that every male person even has the bare minimum of human decency. I do realize that lots of nice guys do exist, but I never assume the guy in front of me is one. Please remember that I’m the one who will get blamed if I let the wrong guy get to close.
