  1. Matt says:

I wonder if they’re trying to put holes in the planes flying above……

  2. roflmywaffle says:

    such a waste

  3. Angolan anti aircraft system fails first test.

  4. con johnnor says:

Two minutes after this picture was taken, the Mexican army, which had been sending spies north for decades disguised as janitors, maids and gardeners, invaded openly. Two weeks after this picture was taken, the English language was banned in the Western hemisphere, except for Alaska, which was too cold for them to bother with.

  5. Noosebrother says:

and they stuck a plane in the top for good measure

  6. sylderon says:

Ah, finally somebody figures out the lasting solution to the gun problem.

    • man says:

What problem? The only problem is you uninformed, undereducated son of a b***h who can’t even respect that guns created this nation. Grow some balls and learn some facts.

      • sylderon says:

I can respect that. I can respect that this country has changed, and I don’t need to worry about being attacked by Redcoats or Indians on my way to the train station. Just like I respect you and your phallic firearms fantasies, as long as you keep them to yourself, and stop making incorrect assumptions about my education, my parentage, and my perfectly functional naughty bits, for which I feel no need to compensate using useless bits of metal.

        • Sarah says:

Eh, there’s no reason not to have a firearm under your bed if someone breaks into your house in the middle of the night. It happens more often than you think; being a dispatcher kinda opened my eyes to this.

          • Lijiah says:

If only I could convince my girlfriend of this. She doesn’t approve of my grandfather’s Browning 1887.

          • sylderon says:

I remember reading a story in the paper about just such an occurrence not to long ago. An elderly man, in bed, alone, hears somebody entering his house. He takes out his gun (I don’t recall what type it was) and proceeds to sneak up on the intruder. His shot hits home, the intruder falls, and he turns on the light…to find his wife of 30-some years, in a crimson puddle on the floor.

            • MaskMan says:

I remember reading this particular hoax repeatedly. It’s a common tall tale amongst those without actual reasoned, *supportable* arguments against firearms. I pretty much relegate anyone whom tells it to the “crank” category.

              • sylderon says:

If you’d like to, I’d be more than happy to link you to the relevant newspaper article. Or perhaps you’d like to hear the story of DGPD Officer Barth…shot in the line of duty by some dumb kid who stole an unsecured handgun from a residence. They have a nice park named in his honor. I think his relatives go there every year and throw a wreath in the pond, or something like that. Very touching.

            • Goose says:

Which is why anyone who is halfway intelligent says something to said intruder, along the lines of DOWN ON THE GROUND, NOW!!!

            • ffoster says:

I remember reading a story about someone who drinks mass media koolaid and tells stories about fictional geriatric shootings. Interesting how this is transgenerational – kids have been making fun of “old people” for a long time. Nothing new here. Except that many of these young people are too stupid to become old and die prematurely, of stupidity, or perhaps the lack of ability to defend themselves. So sad.

        • Munk says:

Yes, because redcoats and indians are the only possible threats to a human’s life. Read some more about Thomas Jefferson and the other founding fathers so that you know their views on the necessity of gun ownership by every free person.

          • sylderon says:

Of course, in case the Soviets decide to invade, or we need to take back our country from “them”, whoever “they” are. I have read what the Founding Fathers wrote about establishing justice, domestic tranquility, and providing for the general welfare.

            • boo says:

              LOL, Americans.
Nobody needs to debate guns in Australia.

              • Goose says:

Thats because they have been banned for a long time there. If anyone tries banning firearms in America, I wouldn’t doubt that sales would go up, just to defend against the ensuing riots that would happen the day of the law going into effect.

                • Xenon says:

So? They proved in Australia (and a lot of the world) that you don’t need guns. Americans should stop being so protective over them. They’re the only country that reacts anywhere close to that protective at even the THOUGHT of losing them.

        • ffoster says:

Yeah, quote the Onion as your source of “facts.” Did Bush do it too? Is that your next response?

      • Maggie says:

Guns didn’t create this nation – people did. Guns don’t create, they destroy.

        • Jared says:

Actually, guns don’t destroy. People destroy. How can an unoperated gun destroy anything? It is inanimate.

  7. BeltedYapper says:

    That, is just FRIKIN awsome…

  8. Hobblecobble says:

    So…many…shotguns

  9. Stueymon says:

Is this one of those Cargo Cult things?

  10. Jack Handy says:

    MELT THE GUNS! ~ XTC

  11. MHarrison says:

Why has no one mentioned the man who’s apparently trying to interview the flaming pile of guns with a microphone?

    • Grevus says:

I know exactly how it will go

      What is your name?: Fwoosh
Mister Fwoosh was it? How do you feel about being on fire: …
So you dislike it?: …*rapid shotgun discharge*
      Whoa! Easy with the temper!

      *Later on in the interview*
In conclusion what do you think about Obam*discharged shot finally impacts into interviewer’s head*
      -transition cuts-

    • ffoster says:

Because he is a ⓝⓘⓖⓖⓔⓡ and no one cares what he is doing.

  12. LuckyLady says:

    A good start!

    • Phoenix says:

… to enslavement of the now defenseless civilian population. If you want something that needs burning, try the Federal Tax Code.

      • Xenon says:

A lot of the world has strict gun laws that prevent civilians owning guns. They’re doing fine.

        • Kman says:

And all able bodied males in Switzerland are required by law to have a fully automatic rifle in there home in case invasion. There also considered one of the safest countries in the world.

An object can not be blamed for what is down with it, if there is to much gun violence maybe instead of trying to take away guns you should address why people want to kill each other. How long before they found either a way to smuggle guns in to the country or a different way to kill people?

          • Goose says:

Switz is of one of the safest in the world, because how many people are going to break into a house that is REQUIRED to house an automatic rifle? I know that knowledge would discourage me.

        • ffoster says:

          Like Mexico?

  13. sourkraut says:

im sad now. so many historic guns are only in africa. one of the few places you can still find at original STG44

  14. Bix Nood says:

Seems to be sub Sahara Africa. Needless to say, they’re just making it easier for the current/next dictator.

  15. Poor Russian says:

I knew that wooden stock was being very bad idea.

  16. JuuEi says:

    African AA gun?
Need a hell of an timing for that.

  17. Suicidal Cheez says:

You don’t even need to be educated for that.

  18. Manny says:

As a pascifist, this is just hillarious. Where did this take place?

  19. Munk says:

this pic actually made me sad. Not only the loss of money that the sale of those guns could have represented, but the fact that all the former owners are now less well defended against criminals and tyrants.

  20. Bear Blaster says:

As an avid sociopath, this picture makes me weep. Less pointless violence in the world thanks to this crusader. Hope he’s rotting in the streets now, preferably after being shot.

Remember kids: Violence is NEVER the answer, it’s the question and the answer is “yes.”

  21. Ozzykitten666 says:

Guns don’t kill people. People kill people with the gun as a crutch. And as for “keeping you safe in the event of an intrusion,” what good is the gun if the intruder is good enough to get in undetected, steals your gun, and kills YOU with it?
And I am one who believes that guns are not evil. They do serve a purpose at times. I just think that it needs to be harder for all the stupid people to get guns. (Stupid people being those who get guns to “Protect” themselves when in reality, they’re either no-good gangsters or racist bastards who shoot anything that’s a funny color to them.)
I just wish people would use guns to hunt and protect themselves from true danger, not just because of a grudge that they hold against a particular population.

    • MaskMan says:

“what good is the gun if the intruder is good enough to get in undetected, steals your gun, and kills YOU with it?”

      Strawman argument: Fail.

Not many ninjas doin’ the ‘sneak-and-enter’ routine these days.

  22. Nathan T says:

They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. — Isaiah 2:4

Time to get past the outdated ideals of a pioneering past, America. Things have greatly changed.

    • Blarelli says:

      Way to misrepresent scriptures!

      • sylderon says:

How do you misinterpret that? I think it’s pretty clear and straightforward, don’t you? Or perhaps you excised that from your Bible, along with all that hippie Jesus love-your-neighbor BS.

        • Goose says:

          It’s taken out of context.
2:1 This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2:2 It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Yahweh’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be raised above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it.
2:3 Many peoples shall go and say, “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Yahweh, To the house of the God of Jacob; And he will teach us of his ways, And we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.
2:4 He will judge between the nations, And will decide concerning many peoples; And they shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning-hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war any more.
2:5 House of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of Yahweh.
2:6 For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled from the east, With those who practice divination like the Philistines, And they clasp hands with the children of foreigners.
2:7 Their land is full of silver and gold, Neither is there any end of their treasures. Their land also is full of horses, Neither is there any end of their chariots.
2:8 Their land also is full of idols. They worship the work of their own hands, That which their own fingers have made.
2:9 Man is brought low, And mankind is humbled; Therefore don’t forgive them.
2:10 Enter into the rock, And hide in the dust, From before the terror of Yahweh, And from the glory of his majesty.
2:11 The lofty looks of man will be brought low, The haughtiness of men will be bowed down, And Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day.
2:12 For there will be a day of Yahweh of Hosts for all that is proud and haughty, And for all that is lifted up; And it shall be brought low:
2:13 For all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, For all the oaks of Bashan,
2:14 For all the high mountains, For all the hills that are lifted up,
2:15 For every lofty tower, For every fortified wall,
2:16 For all the ships of Tarshish, And for all pleasant imagery.
2:17 The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, And the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; And Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day.
2:18 The idols shall utterly pass away.
2:19 Men shall go into the caves of the rocks, And into the holes of the earth, From before the terror of Yahweh, And from the glory of his majesty, When he arises to shake the earth mightily.
          2:20 In that day, men shall cast away their idols of silver, And their idols of gold, Which have been made for themselves to worship, To the moles and to the bats;
2:21 To go into the caverns of the rocks, And into the clefts of the ragged rocks, From before the terror of Yahweh, And from the glory of his majesty, When he arises to shake the earth mightily.
2:22 Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils; For of what account is he?

This proves that you can cherry pick any verse out of the bible and have it mean almost anything in certain context, while in the context of the bible, it means just about the opposite.

          • stopitgoose. says:

            Goose dear goose .
Please , if you have no respect for guns OR dislike guns in any way , do NOT come to any place involving a gun discussion , you would most likely get pissed off and other people will get pissed off .
YOU have your own views , others have theirs , we need to respect each other’s views , AND also , arguing on the internet is pointless too.

            • Xenon says:

If you can’t control your temper, if you can’t engage in reasonable discussion about the pros and cons of something, I think you’re an idiot, regardless of your views.

            • Goose says:

um… no respect for guns? I own 5 of them, and shoot all of them as often as possible.
Clearly you did not understand the argumen, read my comments further up the thread, or have any knowledge of me in the first place.

  23. andrew jacob pratte says:

no not the guns they should have sent them to me

  24. proud2deviate says:
