This is not a subway, but a bus. I don’t think that makes it any less WTF, though, except that it’s at least possible to stand creepily in the dark outside a bus. Tunnels make that kind of hard.

A photobomb is when something happens that isn’t the intended focus of the picture. The person in the mask is what the picture is aimed at, seeing as it is more in focus than the people sitting on the subway car.

I saw the original on somethingawful in the thread where photographers post their “aw fuck!” moments. It was Halloween and there was a kid in a mask right outside looking in the window and he tried to snap a pic right before the bus started moving but his the only shot was totally out of focus.
