This guy is always at the ocean front walk in Venice, CA. He likes to scare the hell out of people and is even creepier at night when there are less people and he actually does look like a tree.
Yep, Venice Boardwalk… and it’s far from the weirdest thing you’ll see there. Dogs on skateboards, “Take a picture with an alien — $5,” and a restroom with three toilets and no stalls… just one big room.

this is definitely in california, LA to be exact. that dude is totally cool, i’ve met him a few times. despite what the costume looks like, he always manages to stand in the best spot to camouflage himself.

I have seen this EXACT guy before in Venice Beach here in California. He’s not there all the time but you’ll see him around pretty often. And it’s definitely a guy by the way.
OMG! I saw this guy walking down the Western Ave in LA a few years ago and I almost got in an accident. One of the craziest and most surreal things to see ever when you’re just trying to drive home. He was walking real smooth and slow.
I think it’s funny how no one’s looking at him, they’re looking at something to his left…

He’s got a tiny location at the north end of the Venice Boardwalk near Waterfront (the biergarten) that he emerges from. Spend a weekend afternoon in Venice and you’ll see him, guaranteed. Definitely one of the more unique street performers there.

I talked to him in LA when he was walking down Venice beach sidewalk. Hes a lot cooler to see in person.

ha theres also a spot near the american apparel more near the start of the boardwalk where the walls are covered in vines and stuff and he likes to hide in there hahaha very very good hiding spot he scared the crap out of me more than once
