Yosemite Sam is hiding behind a tree, waiting for soldier to correctly play “Those Endearing Young Charms”…
AWWW BAYBEE YOUUUUUUUUUU, YOU GAWT WHT AH NEEEEEEEEEEED!
BEWARE!
This is Will E. Coyote piano!
Play us off, keyboard commie!
The real reason why WWII’s “Sad Sack” carried a harmonica rather than a piano into battle
The scary thing is, I might actually know that guy.
How well does he play?
If he’s who I think he is, he’s far better at sitting on his arse avoiding doing his duties as a Soviet soldier than playing the piano.
thats maybe because there is not a Soviet Union anymore
They do the weirdest shit in the Russian army, apparently…
sing us a song piano man… for stalin sleeps tonite,
the law’s on the brink, so we’ll get out a drink,
ang hope it will turn out allright…
vladimier putin’s child hood
Screw Billy Joel, that rocks!
If he was naked, this would be Monty Python.
Pictureisunrelated – STILL not as weird as some monty python sketches.
Vaguely reminisent (sp?) of a scene from the animated movie “Heavy Metal” from the late 70′s. American soldier walks into a bombed building, sits down and plays as a Nazi listens…after the song is finished, the Nazi machine guns the American…
This photo and the title made me sad. It made me think that his comrades/friends (both he met before and at the army) died and he lived. While just wandering off to his base or whatever in the forest, he stumbled upon this piano, and he plays a melancholy tune in memory of his fallen friends.
Sorry for being all artistic and whatever. I refuse to continue reading all the comments after seeing the first.
Fair enough for artistic license and all, but he’s a re-enactor, so he hasn’t lost anybody. It’s likely that the piano is a prop for the skirmish – perhaps some Nazi re-enactors invaded a house they set up and the piano was put there to give something to use as cover.
Man, they build tough pianos back then; the whole village is gone, but this thing is still in tune.
Avril Lavigne’s new music video outfit didn’t go down as well as she’d hoped…
“…. And you can tell everybody, this is your song…..”
nod to Sir Elton
Ah man, that’s poetic.
Why the heck would they put a piano out there..
i have respect. A sad song for his fallen comrades, to show redemption in the middle of destruction. priceless
this is actually quite a beautiful picture.
with a slung AK on his back and a cool hat, he plays chopsticks through out the evening
