As a super pasty redhead, I looked at this picture and thought “YEAH”!!! It’s awesome to see a whole lot of redheads together…usually, I feel so different and awkward in a crowd because of my paleness and haircolor.
Live near any cities with an Irish Fest? Despite the fact that red hair is much more common in places like Germany, there are ALWAYS a ton of gingers at Irish Fests.

I go outside all the time, but thanks to my SPF 75, you could go blind if you look at my legs in the sunlight

Redhair is a recessive trait: both of my parents had brown hair! Alas, I could not produce a ginger kid of my own, but I admire them! How on earth did red hair get such a bad rep: the vikings?!
Not entirely sure about the Vikings, they varied with hair colour apparently.
However just today I was told that in Europe, somewhereabouts…Redheads used to be thought of as Vampires, or rather they would come back as Vampires in their next life. So maybe that was where it came from?
You can produce a ginger if you’re a brunette. It’s a RECESSIVE trait, ie it hides around in the genetic code and pops up unexpectedly. When you bleach your hair, does it turn orange or blonde? That’s a good way to see if you harbor the gene.
My husband and I produced a redhead. My husband has black hair and I have blonde. Apparently that equals red. Dunno where it came from, but I love it.

It’s depressing that I’m the only (natural) red head in my family. And yes, I have the really pale skin and yes, I have freckles. And on the other side of that, I can’ tell my eye color because it constantly changes from blue-grey, to blue to green…
…yeah. But I most likely will be the last red head in my family. =(
My wife’s eyes are like that. I tell her that they’re “sea-colored.” Sometimes green, sometimes blue and so on. With little flecks of gold, like the sun sparkle. Most beautiful eyes in the world.
Sometimes if she decides to color her hair, she’ll get red, just because she knows I like it
Actually, it’s hard to tell. Red hair is recessive, so you or your siblings/cousins could have kids with someone who also carries the red head gene. When two people who both carry the gene have enough kids, chances are it’ll pop up (often redheads are second or third born in their families.) So it could still happen… although if you’re married to someone from Africa or Asia, it’s a good deal less likely :S

You know, I’ve never actually seen a true redhead in real life. With the way my eyes work, I don’t see most colors. So that red hair just stands out for me. I’d be in paradise if I saw that!

My sister is a redhead, and I think her hair is sooooo pretty. I wish mine was her color. She is so lucky. Her skin is an light olive color with coppery red hair. She is beautiful. I want to be her!
My only grand is a ginger boy. His mother’s family is all Irish and not a ginger in the bunch! He gets the red from my side and my husband’s side. Grandma and Grandpa are NOT irish. Go figure!
