Gather ’round children and I’ll tell you teh real story of the Tin Man.
In the original book “The Marvelous Land of Oz” by L. Frank Baum the tin man was a normal woodsman who was in love with a munchkin named Nimmie.
Nimmie was the servant of an old woman who did not want her help distracted by romance or the possibility of marriage. This woman had the Wicked Witch of the East put a curse on the woodsman’s axe which caused him to sever his own limbs. The woodsman got his limbs replaced as they came off by the tinsmith KuKlip. Kuklip could replace every missing part of him except for his heart and without a heart Nimie could no longer love him.
Even more insane is what happens to his original body parts.
Compared to the original books the MGM movie is extremely sanitized. If you’d like to read some pretty trippy ass fantasy stories that alternate between cute and disturbing pick up the original 13 part OZ series by L. Frank Baum.
No, he did not, he just shoppped them.
I knew he was a sicko perv. Always asking for lube.
The Tin Man was actually Bender’s ancestor. The urge to “kill all humans” has deep roots in that family.

Now you can warm your cockles in front of it!
The Tin Man is a Cylon prototype?

Ye gads… right up there with the original Hans Christen Anderson “fairy tales.”
Lesson learned: A heart that ticks is NOT a real heart.
