I bet on the palindrome horse. They assured me that “It was in the bag!” I didn’t know they meant the two guys in costume were the ones in the bag. So drunk they couldn’t stand up.
But after the race I heard that they both had to piss like a racehorse. Maybe they would have won if told that the bathroom was at the finish line?
“Pantomime,” I think. A “palindrome” horse would run equally well in, and appear the same from either direction.

Reminds me of a series of videos shown occasionally at a sushi bar my wife and I go to–some sort of wacky CGI skiing events (skier flips upside down and uses skis as a rotor to fly in the air! skier duo does situp reps while flying from the jump!) allegedly from some world competition interspersed with live action bits that appear to be commentators. Pretty close to the same level of quality, I’m betting this is related.

Normally, I find horse racing boring, but the Japanese can make anything 50% less boring and 100% more insane. I really don’t want to know what the guy on the #1 horse was doing with his hands, ewwwwww. If this ever shows up in the US, I will buy it!
