Actually they are not related to either the closest relation would be animals of the mongoose or meerkat family. It’s the pitbull of Africa

Pieter Hugo is a noted photographer who chooses these men and their beasts as regular subjects for his work. Some of the portraits are quite haunting and I recommend you google his work to see for yourselves. I have been following pictureisunrelated for many months now and this is the first time a WTF picture actually made sense to me.
