Well, I had to know, so I googled it, and it looks like it’s an actual book. I’m kind of sad that it looks like it’s a fairly recent book, though, since the style of cover and artwork made me think of ones from a ways back, like the 50s or thereabouts. For some reason I feel like this would be better if it was an old book that had been “pickled”. I’m really not sure why.
I actually read this recently, and it’s a fun book. Bizarre, absurd, funny and surprisingly charming. Plus, that book in that pic is actually pickled. (I got the non-pickled edition to read, but still… wow)
Wow. I haven’t seen drawings that blatantly suggestive since the animated flowers in The Wall.
How deliciously grotesque.

Does the cucumber have what I think he has?
The cucumber IS what you think he has. And the pancake has some blatantly suggestive folds to match.

Yep, this is an actual book: http://www.amazon.com/Pickled-Apocalypse-Pancake-Island/dp/193638308X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1284776538&sr=8-1
I shall never eat the end of a pickle…ever….again. :l
Look at who sbmitted the picture. Shameless self promotion, perhaps?
