The 5 “fingers” you’re seeing are actually the toes of one foot. The limb is positioned oddly so it looks like a fore limb, it’s actually a hind limb. If you look at the bat top left, you can see, between it and the one second left, the wrist of the left wing with a thumb pointing down at the 5 o’clock position. These are certainly flying-foxes. Most likely in care at Tolga: http://www.tolgabathospital.org/hospital_orphans.htm
they’re orphaned spectacled flying foxes (bats) in Queensland Australia. Their mothers get paralysed or killed by paralysis ticks and the babies have to be bought into care. They get wrapped up like that because it mimics the mothers behaviour of wrapping her wings around them
Soooooooooo cute! and so glad to hear there is a flying fox rescue. bats are some of the most valuable threads in the tapestry of life on this planet. if we lost them, the whole thing would probably unravel. they are insect controllers, but also pollinators and reforesters.
oh my god, they are soooooooo adorable! how cute, these big round eyes! i don’t care if they have big paws or something, they are the cutest animals ever!
NOTBATS
looks like kebab wraps to me
Rather batty but barely wtf
I want to say this is from a flying fox (bat) rescue in Australia.
I think you’re right. Also, not a WTF – just a wildlife rescue regular practice.
I dunno. It makes perfect sense within the context of a wildlife rescue, but looking at the picture on its own without any context is pretty WTF.
Afraid not. Flying foxes are bats which means they have one thumb and three “fingers” fused into their wing membrane.
These are lower primate, probably species sort of bushbaby, but possibly a loris or lemur of some sort.

Someone finally made those buggers cute.
A little.
If it weren’t for their freaky dementor hands I’d say that these were one of the most adorable things to ever exist. Ever.

A rush of thoughts beamed my conscious as i wondered how good they would taste witch ketchup and honey mustard.
Is it just me.. or does the bat in the lower left hand corner look possessed and ready to eat me at any moment? Just a thought…
Awww!
I could never be afraid by bats. They have such clean, cute eyes.
Looking at this makes me wanna eat burritos.
