Almost as iconic as the victory auto wreckers commercial.
The voice-over on the Victory commercial is WGN radio and TV entertainment reporter Dean Richards, who gaine dnational press when Mel Gibson called him an asshole on live TV.
Victory commercials are NOW voiced by Ron Koz, AKA The Koz (of Stooge-a-palooza) AAKA Svengoolie…
The Eagle Man Commercials were still running a few years back as well (during the day) with a voice over by ManCow.
When I first moved to Chicago, this was the first commercial I saw.
Very impressive.
1. Growing up in Chicago and seeing this commercial, it never crossed my mind why EagleMAN would be laying an egg.
2. If you watch the “sequel”, the guy driving the car is none other than Mancow.
Incredible though this seems, this is NOT the “original” Eagleman commercial. There was one that aired a couple years before it, in which a man driving is distracted by a pretty girl jogging and crashes, before Eagleman shows up to help with the insurance problem. It’s only about half as bad as the one seen here. Why they replaced it, I don’t know; but perhaps they thought a camp version would be funnier and more noticeable.
Yeah, I remember both of those.

I can only imagine what a woman would think when an eagle man squats like that. Definitely would do more than throw my arms up, that’s for sure.
