Well, in french, “crapaud”, which is pronounced like “crapo”, is the name of the toad. So maybe, in every country that got toad.

Actually the ‘crapaud=toad’ is true.
One of the early flags of Paris had 3 toads on it. (This was pre-fleur-de-lys)
IMHO The French are lucky to be called ‘frogs’ instead of ‘craps’.
