Reminds me of the episode “The Idiot’s Lantern” of Doctor Who. Well, they didn’t need a vacuum cleaner to suck the faces into the tv.

It looked to me like the vacuum cleaner was wanting to be a Dalek, but then someone said about the Doctor Who episode “The Idiot Lantern”, and that fits a bit more.
