Protest fail. If I was the target I would just be saying: ‘Those bastards don’t even show up in parliament anymore. Yesterday I didn’t see the face of a single opposing member!’
I think it’s even funnier when one translates the name of this party literally: Support the Smoking Cat Movement.
“Smoking Cat” is literal translation of the name of the leader of the party. Although “burn cat” is better translation, IMHO. It’s like “Mr Burncat” and “Burncat Movement”
Still, they achieved nothing. Nor did mass demonstrations, thousands of protesters in every major city of Poland. The prime minister was unexplainably adamant about signing ACTA. It’s very strange since he always paid great attention to avoid anything that would make him less popular. He also always tried to gain more popularity in young generation.
And now he did THIS.
Commited political suicide, turned whole young generation against himself – and against his party.
Like he was paid a real money or threatened into signing ACTA.
Maybe aliens or RIAA implanted him with some brain-control chip or something…

The Guy Fawkes mask has lost all meaning to me now. It’s intention was for the people who were rising up against a corrupt dictatorship not for the politicians to show how ‘down with the people’ they are. It achieved nothing. ACTA was signed just like SOPA and PIPA will be eventually as Obama et all are too scared of losing the Hollywood bucks. A truly sad state of affairs when the entertainment industry controls legislation.
